About 2048
2048 is a popular single-player sliding tile puzzle game that challenges players to combine numbered tiles on a 4×4 grid to create the tile “2048.” The gameplay is simple yet deeply strategic: swipe in one of four directions (up, down, left, right) to slide all tiles. Game Rules
- Objective: Combine numbered tiles to reach the 2048 tile (and continue for higher scores if the mode allows).

- Tile Movement & Merging:
- All tiles slide as far as possible until blocked by the grid edge or another tile.
- Tiles with the same value merge into one tile (e.g., 2 + 2 = 4, 4 + 4 = 8).
- Only one merge per tile per move (a newly formed tile does not merge again in the same move).
- Spawning: After each move, a new tile appears in an empty cell—usually a 2 (most common) or a 4 (less common).
- Scoring:
- Points are added equal to the value of the merged tile (e.g., merging two 64s to 128 gives 128 points).
- Cumulative score tracks your efficiency and progress.
- Win & Continue:Reaching 2048 is a win state in classic mode. Many versions allow play to continue (to 4096, 8192, etc.) for higher scores.
- Game Over: Occurs when no valid moves remain—i.e., the grid is full and no adjacent tiles can merge.
Special Rules
- Undo (if enabled): Some versions allow one-step undo to reverse your last move—use sparingly and strategically.
- Tile Probability: New tiles typically spawn as 2 (≈90%) or 4 (≈10%). Some modes tweak these probabilities to raise difficulty.
- Challenge Modes:
